Night Book is a thrilling game developed by Wales Interactive, available on Xbox One. It is an interactive occult thriller movie, where the player is taken on a journey with Loralyn, who has accidentally summoned a demon into her home. Loralyn is a pregnant woman working remotely from home, interpreting video calls from English to French and back again. She is trying to keep her family safe, including her mentally ill father, and her husband who is away. However, when she is forced to make a sacrifice, who will she choose?
This game is a linear interactive movie with branching narratives and has multiple endings. Night Book has several different paths and endings, with a total of 15 variations and 220 scenes. The game was produced entirely remotely during the pandemic lockdown and stars Julie Dray (Cyberpunkand Colin Salmon (Resident Evil, Mortal Engines). The game also features a Skip Scene function, which can be unlocked for multiple playthroughs.
